<![CDATA[Welcome to Kamp Ham Pet Sitting - Burd Words (Blog)]]>Wed, 31 Jul 2024 01:34:04 -0700Weebly<![CDATA[Policy Changes to Kamp Ham]]>Mon, 29 Jul 2024 00:54:49 GMThttp://kampham.com/burd-words-blog/policy-changes-to-kamp-hamHey y'all. Burd here, it has been a very busy summer for us at Kamp, and we had to make some changes to accommodate that. As of today, July 28, 2024, we have phased out Walking and home let-outs/kitty and critter sits in your home. We just don't have the bandwidth to leave our kampers for a long time to drive to let yours out anymore. We are sorry for the inconvenience but are happy to direct you to other providers who do these services for clients.

We need deposits to ensure your kamp reservation. Please see our policy page for holiday vs non holiday deposit requirements. As always, payment in full is required upon your arrival.

That is about it here, Labor Day is fast approaching so get those reservations before we run out of space.

XOXO,
Bur-dee

<![CDATA[Welcome our New Camp Counselor, Karen]]>Fri, 10 May 2024 19:37:15 GMThttp://kampham.com/burd-words-blog/welcome-our-new-camp-counselor-karenPicture
We welcome our newest counselor, Karen Rudat.
Karen is the relief Kamp counselor on site when Paula is traveling. She is retired from two 20+ year careers: the first as a masters- prepared nurse and healthcare administrator, the second as a self-employed artist and decorative painter.
She has been involved in the rescue, adoption and care of pugs and pug mixes for 25 years and was a volunteer of the year with Pughearts of Houston. As a foster there, she specialized in the rehab of complex medical and behavioral cases. Her online guides for creating pack harmony and housebreaking are still referenced by fosters and adopters.

She is uniquely qualified to manage a large pack, and the dogs love and respect her as a leader. Welcome, Karen!

<![CDATA[The New Kamp Ham is in work....]]>Wed, 24 Jun 2020 00:08:27 GMThttp://kampham.com/burd-words-blog/the-new-kamp-ham-is-in-workBur-dee here. Slowly but surely we are getting up and running. New doors and floors and air conditioning inside. We got new ramps front and back so our kampers don't have to walk stairs. A big light will keep our play yard lit for those evening times. This week the fencing is going in. We even had our first tiny visiting kamper--a sweet puppy named Malibu.

We will be up and running at this location for the July 4th weekend and we have room at the kamp. Book today as we do fill at the last minute....can't wait to see you at our new kamp!
XOXO,
Bur-dee and the gang

<![CDATA[Bur-dee and Crew On the Move: We Have a New Location!]]>Thu, 11 Jun 2020 22:01:46 GMThttp://kampham.com/burd-words-blog/bur-dee-and-crew-on-the-move-we-have-a-new-locationBur-dee here! Big news on the home front; we got ourselves a new home! We will be moving to a town called Magnolia, which is a flower that is almost as pretty as me. I said almost.

Sitting on a great big yard, where there is plenty of room to run and play. We are so excited! There are a few things that need to be done first, like a new fence and pretty new paint. We will be moving in within the next couple of weeks once all is done.

We are also going little. As of June 15, we will no longer be taking new large dog kampers; kamp alumni are still welcome. We just don't have the space for new biggies at this time. You must be 35 pounds or less to come kamp with us. Little dogs, rejoice!

As always, we are by appointment only; give us a call if you want to schedule kamp, meet and greets and dropoffs/pickups.

We can't wait to see you at our new home at 33011 Bear Branch Lane in Magnolia. Come kamp with us!

XOXO,
Bur-dee and the gang
