A few words to the humans out there...did you know that one of the busiest times for area shelters and pounds is July 4?
I am not scared of thunder or loud noises because I was trained in the show ring to not be easily distracted. However, many dogs and cats are terrified of the loud noises, strange smells and bright lights of this day and will hide or, worse, run away. So I posted this picture, courtesy of Petfinder.com, to show some ways to keep your fur-iends safe and happy this July 4.
