Bur-dee here. Happy May Day! The Little Dutch Family did a trek through the bluebonnets this spring and here is the perfect family photo. Doesn't my baby boy look like me?
XOXO, Bur-dee Bur-dee here. The howl-i-days are here, and it is time for my safety announcement. Did you know some foods you eat can kill us? Turkey skin can give us pancreatitis, sugar free goodies can kill. Below are some tips on what we cannot eat. However, there are still dog friendly Thanksgiving goodies you can share with us: a bit of plain turkey meat, plain sweet potatoes, plain pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix) and green beans is just yummy to us and allows us to celebrate with you. Some pet food people have canned turkey day foods made just for us.
Keep an eye on the trash, since some of us can get into cans, or even counter surf. If you believe your pet has been poisoned or eaten something it shouldn’t have, call your veterinarian or local veterinary emergency clinic immediately. You may also want to call the ASPCA Poison Control Hotline: 888-426-4435. Signs of pet distress include: sudden changes in behavior, depression, pain, vomiting, or diarrhea. Contact your veterinarian immediately. Also, we can get scared with all the new people coming over, so give us a quiet place, make sure we don't get out and have our collars and tags on. If traveling, make sure you know the rules of the road (or the airline you are flying). Keep us restrained at all times in a vehicle, and keep our tags on! From our house to yours may you have a very happy Thanksgiving! XOXO, Bur-dee and the Kamp Ham family |
