Hurricane season is coming up fast, and it looks like it may be a bumpy ride here in Houston again this year. This got my little Burd brain thinking...what happens to pets who are boarded?
After researching other facilities all over the states, I am shocked to find that in many places while humans evacuate, pets are left behind by those trusted to care for them. You have to sign a waiver stating that you are okay with leaving them even with no one to care for them. This angers The Burd! There is not that worry here...Kamp Ham has you covered. Should an emergency evacuation be necessary, your kampers will not be left to fend for themselves. We will load your babies into our Kamp Bus (and friends' if needed) and haul everyone to safety. Your initial paperwork will include a permission slip for a Kamp field trip should an emergency arise. I hope we don't have to deal with another Harvey, but in case we do your babies are covered at Kamp Ham. Have a great day, kampers. XOXO, Bur-dee, Dutch and 2D Sparo Bur-dee here. I know I have been out of touch so let me start off with HAPPY 2018!!!
For those who don't follow my moma's facebook, I became a moma myself this fall. The day after Thanksgiving, Dutch and I welcomed one baby boy, 2D Sparo (Everlea's Double Dutch Flyboy's Raisin' Cane). Dutch makes the best daddy, and I like it that way. The Burd was meant to fly free. Check out our Facebook and Twitter pages for pictures of our little family. Now a couple serious points to address to new and current kampers. Prices have changed. Moma probably already told you when you booked, but the new ones are on the website. Shots: Flu is bad for both man and beast this year. As always, Kamp Ham is a healthy facility and you MUST have vet records indicating you have all your shots. Remember, I have a new baby in the house, and I care about all your babies too. Hours: While business hours are posted, pickups and dropoffs are by appointment only during those hours. You can make accommodations earlier and later for extra charges. Your appointment allows moma to keep her other appointments too. Visits: Don't be upset if you are not invited into the house. We kampers have play time and nap time and should not be disturbed with visitors. You will likely see our accommodations if you book a meet and greet. Please respect our rules and welcome to a new year. Hope to see you around the kampfire soon. XOXO Bur-dee, Dutch and 2D Sparo Bur-dee here, and I have a happy surprise. For weeks, momma has been keeping a secret and teasing everyone about a little Dutch boy. Well, he is here. Without further ado, allow me to introduce you to my new assistant social director, Sauvage of The Pugs Story, but you can call him Dutch. Isn't he cute? While no one is as gorgeous as me, he sure is close. He came from a place called The Netherlands, whatever that is. He was born in February and fills Kamp with puppy energy. I love to play with him, and am teaching him to be a proper social director. I must admit....I am kind of a smitten kitten. Welcome, Dutch! XOXO,
