How Cold is Too Cold from our friends at Texas A&M gives several pointers:
Indoor pets that are not acclimated to cold weather should not be left outside when the average daily temperature is below 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cats, even if acclimated to outdoor temperatures should always have access to warm shelters. Kittens, cats advanced in age, or sick should never be kept outdoors when the temperature is below 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Outdoor kitty friends will appreciate a warm place to hide. Don’t forget to thump the hood of your car in case one seeks shelter in your engine block.
Sweaters and coats work, but make sure they are clean and dry, not too loose or too tight.
At Kamp Ham, we don’t believe in outdoor dogs….your kampers will be toasty and warm with plenty of beds and blankets (unless it is potty time). Rest assured that your kampers will be warm and dry when the cold blast comes through.
Stay warm, my friends!
