Bur-dee here. And with hot weather comes another unpleasant thing: icky fleas!
I am very allergic to many topicals so Momma found this to help us out, courtesy of Willy's Happy Endings senior and special need rescue:
"Flea shampoos such as Hartz and Sergeants contain dangerous chemicals that can be VERY harmful to your pet.
Instead, use 1 cup Dawn dish soap, 1 cup vinegar, and 1 quart of warm water. Massage in and let sit for five minutes before rinsing clean. It's a safe and inexpensive solution for ALL ANIMALS that WHE have used on new intakes and strays before starting them on flea and tick prevention from our vets for years!"
Hope this helps banish those pesky stowaways....they drown in soapy water which is one more reason to love bathtime.
