When you pick up dogs early, cancel reservations, or change reservations without adequate notice, it is frequently too late for us to fill the space reserved for you because the kampers that we turned away have already made other arrangements. When you don’t stick to your pick up and drop off times, we often must cancel other clients’ let-outs and walks.
As a result, we lose a tremendous amount of income for me and my sweet little family. The last few months have been particularly bad for cancellations and no-shows. Imagine showing up for work only to find the door locked and your paycheck is cut as a result. This is what happens when people cancel or don’t show up.
Due to the losses from no shows, untimely cancellations, schedule changes, and early pick-ups, we have implemented the following reservation and cancellation policies as of October 15, 2018:
A credit card must be on file to set up and hold your reservation.
Pickups and drop offs have always been by appointment only. You will be charged a $12 dollar/hour fee per pet for not keeping within 15 minutes of your appointment time. Emergencies will be handled at our discretion but you have to call us.
If your trip is cut short, your stay will still require full payment. There are no exceptions to this rule. It is our discretion to credit your stay to future stays if outside holiday dates.
For non-holiday stays of under 3 days, one night's deposit is required at the time of reservation. For stays of 3 days or longer, a 50% deposit is required.
For non-holiday cancellations, Kamp Ham requires 5 days notice to cancel your sleepover to avoid being charged. Any cancellation less than 5 days from your stay will require a 50 percent payment. If you cancel the day you were supposed to stay, you will be charged for your stay. For let out visits, you will not be charged if you cancel before noon the day before. If you cancel after noon, a 50 percent charge will apply and same day cancellations will require payment. Deposits on non-holidays can be used for future services.
For howl-idays, we are much stricter because we fill up faster and earlier. We will now require 10 full days notice to avoid charges. If you cancel within 10 days, a 50 percent payment is required. If cancellation occurs within three days, your entire stay will be charged.
Holiday cancellations will NOT be applied to future services; be aware of this.

Memorial Day Friday through Tuesday
Independence Day July 1 through July 5
Labor Day Friday through Tuesday
Thanksgiving Wednesday through Sunday
Christmas/New Year’s December 22 through January 3
